THE CENTRAL COMMITEE

The Central Committee is a collegial organ, composed of :
  • The President,
  • 2 vice-Presidents, responsible for the regions,
  • The Directors of commissions,
  • The Treasurer,
  • The Editor of MOROP-Inform,
  • 1 to 3 counsellors according to the tasks at hand.
The CC directs and manages according to the statutes and executes the decisions of the AG (General Assemblee). The CC will, after conferring , delegate the tasks to its members, which they will accomplish under their own responsibility, and keep the CC informed. The president represents MOROP towards the outside world and official instances like railroad companies, the NMRA à(USA), companies or editors that have links with railroad modelling. The secretary general directs the general secretariat in close collaboration with the president. He manages and distributes to the affiliated associations (AA) the definite version of the NEMs, as well as the minutes of the working sessions in the official languages of MOROP. The editor of MOROP-Inform (MI) is charged to conceive, publish and distribute the external organ of MOROP. The last edition of MOROP-Inform is available on this site in French and German.
The CC reunites twice a year, in springtime (in general in the end of april/may timeframe) and during the congress which is held in september (sometimes in august for the northern countries) in conjonction with the AG. Special reunions of a restricted committee are held as often as necessary.
